Sam Kotadia
Director & Psychology Lead

With over 20 years of applied psychology work in professional sport and education, Sam Kotadia shines as a leading light in the field of personal development.

A creator of well-being programmes for high-performing organisations in both the private and public sectors, Sam holds a Charter with the British Psychological Society in Psychology since 2010 and is a licensed Master NLP-Practitioner, having trained with the world-renowned hypnotist Paul McKenna in 2005.
Sam's fascination with human potential, cultivated from a young age, led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree in Psychology.

His impactful journey began in 2003 alongside professional football manager Phil Parkinson, throughout his career he has worked as the sports psychologist for Colchester United, Charlton Athletic and Wrexham AFC.

Through Sam’s iconic approach of embedding psychological principles and changing the team culture to process focused goals and learning to allow the mind to settle by itself - Sam contributed to several historic promotions.

“Sam is an exceptionally insightful performance coach and has built a track record with myself of delivering measurable impact to my own performance as well as for my teams over the years. His work is appropriate for any high-performing organisation.” Phil Parkinson (2023)
Sam’s approach uses engaging and stimulating learning to carry a deeper message about the human mind; the perfect approach to help young people who are falling behind at school and who are at risk of exclusion.

Commissioned by the charity Empire Fighting Chance and Bristol Boxing, Sam launched a programme that integrated his expertise in sport-psychology into non-contact boxing to help disadvantaged young people re-integrate back into formal education. Called “Training with Champions” The programme is delivered across the country and reaches over 5000 young people per year, who are at risk of being excluded from full-time education.

In the seventh year of its roll-out Sam still works as a consultant for Empire Fighting Chance to help continue the scaling of the programme nationally and internationally. Sam is now exploring new methods to share the Win the Day mentality; including young entrepreneurial training.

Jazper 'Jaz' Peacey
Founder & Managing Director

At just 19 years old, Jaz Peacey embodied the spirit of innovation and dedication. As a trailblazing entrepreneur, he stands as a testament to the transformative power of the "Win the Day" programme.

After leaving school with a plumbing apprenticeship that he despised, Jaz quickly became NEET. At the time he was competing as an elite amateur boxer and fell back onto the only thing he knew. Boxing. Through countless hours of training he acquired an apprenticeship at the gym as a boxing coach where he met and worked closely with Sam, a performance psychologist and now the Director of Psychology at Win the Day. This collaboration ingrained in Jaz a deep understanding of the psychology, which later became a cornerstone of his entrepreneurial endeavors.

Jaz demonstrated a remarkable ability to connect with young people from diverse backgrounds, catering to their varying needs. His two-year tenure in this role was complimented by an empathetic and adaptable approach to coaching.

The turning point in Jaz's career came with his encounter with the influential book 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' written by Robert T Kyosaki. Inspired by its insights, he made a bold decision to seek a job that would allow him to free up time in order to dedicate to entrepreneurial ventures. This resulted in Jaz working as an assistant teacher in SEN schools and pupil referral units, gaining experiences that enriched his understanding of diverse educational needs.

Jaz's entrepreneurial spirit saw him delve into various ventures, including running a clothing brand, a marketing agency, and freelancing in website design. However, his ambition for creating something with greater impact led him back to Sam. Together, they conceptualized a business idea that could integrate Jaz's coaching experience and the psychological insights gained from Sam.

Drawing from his diverse experiences and the enhanced psychological framework provided by Sam, Jaz developed a curriculum specifically tailored to engage and inspire disengaged youth through his passion of entrepreneurship.

Chris Watmore
Director & Education Lead

With a decade of dedicated experience in education, Chris has been a catalyst for positive change in the lives of young people in the most deprived areas of the South West.
Throughout his career journey, he has been entrusted with a variety of curriculum and pastoral leadership roles, including senior leadership positions.

To help overcome this very common barrier, Chris has passionately led initiatives focused on inspiring career aspirations, fostering healthy mindsets and instilling daily habits of success.
Through his commitment to creating a supportive and motivating learning environment, Chris has witnessed first hand the transformative power of 'psychological principles' and 'learning by doing' in setting all young people on the path to achieving their aspirational career goals.

Where it all began

The brand "Win the Day" originated from the impactful book written by Sam Kotadia (our psychology lead) & José Semedo (former professional footballer), endorsed by Cristiano Ronaldo!
The autobiography explores Semedo's mental and physical preparation strategies in football and life. It highlights his journey, supported by Ronaldo and sport psychologist Sam Kotadia, emphasising mindfulness and focused training to achieve excellence. The book offers insight into the disciplined approach of a professional footballer, advocating for positive mental practices.
The work has received the support from arguably the best player on the planet Cristiano Ronaldo, who has written a brotherly foreword.
Ronaldo says: "Win The Day shows just how dedicated José is to being the best he can be, both as a professional and as a person."
